Tässä ja ylemmässä kuvassa oli sumupilvikerros, joka johtui korkeapaineen vahvistumisen myötä heikkona virinneestä lauhemmasta kaakkoistuulesta. Heikossa tuulessa sumupilvillä oli taipumus säilyä pitkään tässä vaiheessa, kun leudompaa ilmaa oli alkanut virrata kovien pakkasten jäljiltä kylmän alustan päälle (luminen maa ja jäätynyt Suomenlahti). Ajoittain taivas oli kuitenkin osittain selkeä myös näinä päivinä mm. voimistuneen auringonsäteilyn ansiosta. Tämä kuva on kuvattu Espoon Tapiolassa kaakkoistaivaalle.
