Edellisen tilanteen jälkeen 11. ja 12. päivinä pohjoisessa oli edelleen korkeapaine, mutta siinä seassa oli liikkeellä myös hyvin pieni matalapaine. Samalla Etelä-Skandinaviaa lähestynyt matalapaine asettui Suomen etelä- ja lounaispuolelle; siinä oli useita pieniä osakeskuksia vaihtelevasti. Kesälle tyypilliseen tapaan niiden alueilla esiintyi voimakkaita kuuroja ja ukkosta. Tässä vaiheessa lämpötilat olivat edelleen samanlaisia kuin aikaisemmin (ylimmät lukemat noin +25 astetta) ja sää selkeää; lähinnä oli vain vähäisiä määriä untuvapilviä ja iltapäivän kumpupilviä. Itätuulet olivat heikkoja ja öisin oli tyyntäkin. Edellisenä päivänä korkeapaine alkoi siirtyä Suomen itäpuolelle ja etelä-lounaassa ollut matalapaine voimistui ja siihen muodostui selvä keskus Tanskan tienoille. Tämän myötä tuuli kääntyi kaakkoon ja voimistui; yölämpötilat kohosivat ja ko. päivän alin lukema oli jopa +18,0 astetta. Samalla rintamasysteemi lähestyi lounaasta pilvineen. Kuvauspäivään mennessä rintama jakoi aikaisempaa selvemmin Länsi- ja Keski-Euroopassa jo pitkään olleen viileän ilmamassan ja rintaman itäpuolella olleen helleilman toisistaan; kuvauspäivänä rintaman kohdalla Puolan itä- ja pohjoispuolella esiintyi ankaraa ukkosta. Yllä on kaksi samana päivänä Espoon Tapiolassa otettua kuvaa. Tämä alempi on otettu länsitaivaalle. Siinä nähdään ensinnäkin em. rintamaan liittyneitä untuva- ja palleropilviä sen etummaisina merkkeinä. Toisekseen Venäjällä ja Suomenlahden kaakkoispuolella edelleen vallinneiden useiden metsäpalojen savuja saapui kaakkoistuulen takia jopa entistäkin runsaammin eteläiseen Suomeen. After the previous situation there was futher a high pressure in the north, but there was also a very small low pressure moving among there. At the same time the low pressure that approached southern Skandinavia settled in the south - southwestern side of Finland; it contained several small subcenters in variable ways. Typically of summer there were heavy showers and thunder in their places. At this stage the temperatures were further the same as before (the maximum readings about +25 C) and the weather was clear; mainly there was only minor amounts of cirrus and afternoon cumulus clouds. Easterly winds were weak and it was also calm during the nights. During the previous day the high pressure started to move in the eastern side of Finland and the low pressure in the south-southwest strengthened and there formed a clear center in it around Denmark. Due to that the wind turned to southeast and got stronger; the night temperatures rose and the lowest reading of this day was even +18,0 C. At the same time a frontal system approached from the southwest with its clouds. Until the photoshooting day the front divided more clearly than before the cool air mass stayed for a long time over western and middle Europe and the hot air in the eastern side of the front from each other; during the photoshooting day there appeared severe thunder in the place of the front in the eastern - northern side of Poland. Above there are two pictures taken in the same day in the district of Tapiola in Espoo. This lower is taken towards western sky. Firstly we see in there cirrus and cirrocumulus clouds associated with the mentioned front as its foremost marks. Secondly smokes of the further prevailed forest fires in Russia and southeastern side of The Gulf Of Finland floated even more plentyfully than before into southern Finland. In here we see the smoke as greyish brown blurring layers, like in the picture of the 7th of August. There was felt also a clear scent of smoke at the moment of the photoshoot.
